Decided

So a couple months ago I decided to take a break from doing hair...I know Gasp... Fifteen years I have stood on my feet , listening to peoples problems, trying my hardest to make people feel beautiful.
(I think hairstylist should be paid for being a counsler). My husband is a work aholic. yip i said it he works a ton. I just felt like my load to carry was totally stressing me out. Trying to run my own salon, take care of the kids, house , dog ect. Stress big time. So I decided, i decided for me that for now My title is mom. That is my first and formost important job. I may go back eventually and I have that option. I still get asked all the time, at church on sunday 3 people asked when I could get them in. I had to say sorry "Im a mom. " somedays I feel so guilty that i decided to do this then others i don't. I'm just so grateful That I can quit. My husband is my rock that is for sure. Here is a challenge if your weighed down by something that can be eliminated even if it is something you have worked your A off for , But you know it would help you out by cutting it out of your life. Do it . If it means happiness for you and others do it. There is always going to be that time when it can begin again. After all who wouldn't want to be home with these crazy monkeys....

For The Beauty

I am so blessed to live where i do. Right now the blossoms are so vibrant and so pretty! I took this photo yesterday on my jog with our lab.  I couldn't not take a photo. So a couple weeks ago i got a phone call from my dad."You gotta bring the kids up to see this." So we hurried over to my parents 

This is what we found it was the craziest thing i have ever seen. Yes my friends that is a bee colony trying to figure out if this tree will do for a home. My mom called our neighbor,  that is what he does is raise honey bees. He  figured there were probably 45,000 workers . the workers all cover the queen which was underneath them all to protect her while they scower for a new home . It was so cool and my kids loved it. I came home and googled the honey bee. it is amazing how hard these creatures work and how smart they are.

A couple weeks ago me and mr . J went down to zions. If you have never been there this is the best time to go before summer heat and crowds. We saw alot of wild life. Hence these mountian goats

 The views are amazing. we hiked our butts off. we hiked all the trails plus went to the narrows, but couldn't go down because the water level from the spring runoff was to high . plus it was freezing!

The Proud Mama

Have you ever just gazed at your children and thought ... What a miracle they truley are. I was doing that this weekend. My  heart was full of gratitdue for my little monkeys. They are my sunshine , and they make me happy. We were inbound this weekend because two of them were stuck with pink eye/cold. Which totally sucks. But the weather was good so we were outside a lot. Ill have to upload some pictures of my back yard. we started our fence which may be an extremly long process. But if its up to my hubs it willbe done soon enough. He is like superman I swear. He is the hardest working man I know. Which to me is totally sexy. He built me a pergola last summer and it is gorgeous.!
So back to my monkeys. We went to my eight yr olds first piano recital. He was so nervous. Its like that time when you can feel there nervous energy and want to tell them to breath. He  did so good and I couldn't have been more proud. Today do me afavor in your busy lives, Hug those little ones next to you :)

RUBY The ROBIN

Oh my gosh! I can't tell you how freaking happy I am right now. I totally couldn't log into this blog , and for some reason I figured it out. Im not to computer savy. So yee haw for me.
So my last post was on my sweet hubbs brother. He is starting Chemotherapy on friday. They say its a low dose so we will see how his body reacts to the drugs. I just hope it works....uggg moving on . So last week my hubbs said I think we have a bird building a nest on the house. yip sure enough its a bird alright,a beautiful Robin to boot. Im crazy, I really am . When she wasn't around I got our ladder climbed up it and tryed to take pictures inside the nest. I couldn't see inside it so I was on my tippy toes aiming the camera inside the nest. This is what we found, Four Beautiful perfect Blue eggs. It has been the highlight of my kids days. Checking on the robin. My sweet little girl decided the bird needed a name. So she earned the name of Ruby the Robin. Ill let you know when the little peeps hatch out.... Spring has sprung. Not today its freezing here in the Beehive state....Im ready for warm weather :)

Relish in each day......and pillow fun

Man talk about a crazy week.Today I find myself exhausted from worry.... My Husbands brother has been sick off and on for many years. He has a rare disease that has to do with his stomach and intestines. Last week they found a tumor that is blocking his intestines, the poor man has lost 28lbs in two weeks. We went from your going to die with in a few days to maybe we can do something for you and buy you some time....Such a rollercoaster, I do have to say that Huntsmans cancer Institute is awesome and we are so blessed to have such a great facitliy. Things like this make me try to relish more on the blessings that I have in my life, the beauty that surrounds me each day, that I tend to overlook. One of these huge blessings are my sweet children.They bring me so much joy and happiness!! And I thank the lord for there sweet spirits in my home. So do me a favor try to relish each day! Love  those around you, you never know when you or they will be thrown a curve ball. moving on...

 Ok so this pillow is one of my favorite things in my daughters room. My beautiful and very talented sister made this for her. She is such a good artist and is so creative. She made the pillow and hand stichted the O so cute girl, and the name below. You can't tell but her skirt has tule in it and totally sticks out away from the pillow, it is soooo darling!  I have this window seat in my office and I wanted to do bright colors in it. so this is what we came up with. These pillows are so stinkin easy to make and I made a whole bunch, there kinda addicting really.

Table Redo....

Ok so its been a little crazy around here! 3 kiddos is busy, I must say.

 So we have had this table for 12yrs it used to be a real pine pretty color, but faded. So i decided to paint it when we built our new home. It was ok, but i wasn't in love . My kiddos started jumping on it and the middle on the top cracked. Needless to say Instead of spending more money on a new table I revamped it to what I invisioned. Heres what I came up with......

 I know right! Its crazy! My husband about had a heart attack when he saw it. Yes its the same table. I cut the bottom off with mr.Js handy tools (kinda scary). Added foam to the top, covered it with material, then went to home depot and bought new legs. I wanted the legs to be alittle bit more chunky but that was all they had. I love it! something new and I didn't spend alot of money! Even better!

BaBy It's CoLd OutSide....

 It has seriously has snowed for 3 days straight. We have had a good winter, well needed where I live. But It has been so blasted cold. The cold that when you walk outside instantly you are chilled to the bone. My dad gave me this beautiful coat along time ago and I love it it is soooo warm!!! I am so blessed to live where i do. I get the best of all the seasons. And I get to play in my back yard(a field) :)

 The dogs love it too, They run and chase us behind the snowmobiles. (no that is not a wolf, my nieghbors gigantic husky, and our beautiful choc lab.) 

 So pretty!

My Smokey Eye...

Okay so I'm going to walk you through "My Smokey Eye", that I like to do. So here i am with no eye makeup on.( I do have permanent eyeliner for about 8yrs now.) So ignore that.

So at first I put on a shimmery nude color on the whole eye lid.

Here is the color I like to use, Its nothing special , it's a nude color and has a little glitter in it.

Next I use this Blue "Dusk" color same thing its cheap but I like the color.

Yes I darkened my eyebrows with a light brown pencil. Then I draw a triangle starting on the outer eye into the middle. ( this isn't the greatest it was hard to do and take pictures :p

After you have made your triangle color it in.  Then I always go back with the lighter color and blend the line a bit so it looks better. Then I added a liquid black on my top lid just above my lashes. (Yes the lord has blessed me with very long eyelashes, So grateful for that)

Since my lashes are so long and so straight I always heat up my curler then curl them. This is my favorite mascara to use. I have used it for years!

So there you have it! Isn't it so pretty not to much either for a mom or everyday look.!

Healthy Hair.....

Today I will share some of my fav's for healthy looking hair. I use both of these on all my clients before I blow their Hair out. Both of these products will make your hair shiny, and Healthy. The Deep Shine By Rusk is made of Marine extracts, lipids and has a Uv protecting. It is one of my Fav's! The Moroccan Oil is actually Argon Oil From Israel. It is also Organic and will add instant luster and shine. You can use both on wet or dry hair. 

Another one of my fav's for winter is Paul Mitchell Tea tree Shampoo/cond. I love this stuff for Itchy dry scalp. It has Melalucca in it which is a natural plant. It serves many purposes which is only for the best.They are my Favorites! Make sure you get these products from a professional or they could be tampered with.

So here I am going to try this blog. Why not share the things I love with the world. So here we go...About me I am a Hairstylist for 14yrs I own my own salon, I have 3 kiddos who keep me going, A wonderful husband. I love for fashion, makeing old things look new or new things look old. I am constantly thinking of things to make or do to enlighten my world. My dream would be to own a boutique someday......

 So Out with the old in with the new...This glider has been through 3 babies and is so blah. Scince my baby is almost three I decided to find a new home for it.... Yes I cried when I removed it from his room.
so off to the fabric store I went. 31/2 yards of fabric is all it took and i had alot left over. It took me two days but it is complete. I also made the linen pillow cover then cut up a old sweater that shrunk and made the flower.. The other pillow is from Pier One . It Turned out so cute. Its new home is in our family room and looks delightful!!!!
